U.S. journalism watchdog, NewsGuard, has discovered 49 websites generated by AI large language models (LLMs) and made to appear as news sites. The synthetic publications cover various topics and are based in several countries.
The sites appear in many languages. Bloomberg says they verified Newsguard’s findings for their story.
