“Although a human editor was still needed to patch the scenes together to tell a coherent story, the AI shortened the process down to only 24 hours when it typically takes around 10 to 30 days to complete a trailer.“
An AI system made a trailer for a movie about an AI system, reports Wired. The film, Morgon, was about a lab-created AI system with human characteristics.
The producers worked with IBM’s Watson team to construct the trailer.
Watson was trained with 100 trailers for horror movies. Then it was shown the 90-minute film, and the system was prompted to extract moments suitable for the trailer.
A human editor put the final piece together.
