‘Although a human editor was still needed to patch the scenes together to tell a coherent story, the AI shortened the process down to only 24 hours when it typically takes around 10 to 30 days to complete a trailer.’
A movie about an AI system had its promotional trailer made by an AI system, reports WIRED. The film was Morgan, about a lab-created AI system with human characteristics. The producers worked with IBM’s WATSON team to construct the trailer.
Watson was trained with 100 trailers for horror movies. Then it was shown the 90 minute film and the system extracted moments suitable for the trailer. The final piece was put together by a human editor.
