Some of the humans-in-the-loop for the world’s first AI-generated government “minister” have been placed under house arrest for suspected corruption. The action calls into question the achievability of the AI model’s mission, which is to be a safeguard against corrupt practices.

The model, named Diella (after the Albanian word for sun), was designed to help eliminate bribery for document processing when citizens apply for government services online.

Future plans for the model include assessing government contract bids.
