“The deal will give OpenAI access to current and archived content from all of News Corp’s publications”
– Guardian staff and agencies
Content from The Wall Street Journal, New York Post, The Times, and The Sunday Times will be available to OpenAI in a wide-ranging deal signed with News Corp, the global publisher. This follows a spate of deals OpenAI has been making with large news organizations, including FT, Axel-Springer, Associated Press, and others.
In contrast, The New York Times, joined by a collection of U.S. newspapers, is suing OpenAI in an intellectual property dispute alleging misuse of its proprietary content.
