AI-enhanced TV coverage will be part of NFL football on Amazon Prime Video this fall. The Verge reports Amazon has trained machine-learning models to understand American football so it can act as an expert analyst.
For example, based on actions in thousands of prior situations, the model might predict the most likely upcoming play, analyzing options in real-time like a coach or quarterback would do.
The Verge says the enhanced game coverage will be offered as an alternate stream.
