‘The Graduate Art Prize…is open to all final year students on BA and MA degree courses at British art colleges or universities.’
An image generated by an AI model and printed on fabric was the public favourite in a UK showcase of graduate artwork. The piece was entered in a nationwide art competition among graduate student by a master’s graduate Betty Leung, from Camberwell College of Art.
Entitled Interpreter IV, her work was generated using a ‘style transfer’ AI tool that drew upon two other images to create a third. The piece received the most votes among 22 nominations in a public ballot. The competition is intended ‘to find the nation’s most exciting graduate artists.’
