An image generated by an AI model and printed on fabric was the public favourite in a UK showcase of graduate artwork. The piece was entered in a nationwide art competition among graduate student by a master’s graduate Betty Leung, from Camberwell College of Art.

Entitled Interpreter IV, her work was generated using a ‘style transfer’ AI tool that drew upon two other images to create a third. The piece received the most votes among 22 nominations in a public ballot. The competition is intended ‘to find the nation’s most exciting graduate artists.’
