‘Without the help of technology, it will be hard for the media because the world is getting more precarious and there is not enough time, so the question is, how can we use technology to overcome this, how can we make sense of millions of images, audios, files as journalists.’

A presentation at the Global Investigative Journalism Conference in Hamburg suggested AI tools can solve difficulties facing modern journalism, according to a report in The New Times. The Rwanda daily highlights comments from Marina Walker Guevara, who heads Strategic Initiatives at ICIJ, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.

The paper says Guevara called for journalists to become more familiar with AI to facilitate their work.
