Algorithms are becoming better than humans at writing ad slogans. This BBC NEWS report gives an example of ‘have a suite stay,’ an ad for a hotel chain generated by a machine learning system. The computer model can turn out 20 to 25 ads per second.
BBC says some imperfections persist. The algorithm can become ‘confused.’
‘The bottom line is that if AI produces better responses to adverts than humans manage to achieve – and at lower cost – marketers will jump at the chance to use it.’
