We know ethics should inform AI. But which ethics? | WEF

Ethical standards are likely to become as important at shaping global competition as technological standards have been since the 1980s.

THE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM suggests acceptance of AI systems depends on predictability and trust, in turn arising from robust ethical codes. Their analysis names five areas of ethical challenges:

  1. Decision-making and liability
  2. Transparency
  3. Bias
  4. Human values
  5. Data protection and IP
