NeimanLab provides predictions by Jeremy Gilbert as part of its 2019 look-ahead. Gilbert is head of newsroom R&D at The Washington Post, which has its own AI system, Heliograph.
Gilbert says this will be the year that AI tools will start assisting more non-technical journalists.
